This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to further develop their technical expertise while working on high-profile projects with leading private sector clients.\nThe successful candidate will bring strong drainage and infrastructure design experience together with proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign & Technical Delivery\nPrepare civil engineering designs for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.\nDesign foul water, surface water and watermain infrastructure networks.\nProduce drainage strategies, calculations and technical drawings.\nPrepare design reports, specifications and supporting documentation.\nSupport planning, tender and construction-stage project activities.\nSoftware & Digital Delivery\nDevelop detailed designs using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.\nUndertake drainage network modelling using MicroDrainage or similar software.\nProduce high-quality engineering drawings and BIM-compatible outputs where required.\nMaintain drawing and design quality standards.\nProject Support\nSupport Senior Engineers and Project Managers in the delivery of projects.\nAttend client meetings, design team workshops and site visits.\nLiaise with local authorities, Uisce Éireann and other project stakeholders.\nAssist with construction-phase queries and technical support activities.\n Required Qualifications & Experience\nDegree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.\nMinimum 3 years' relevant civil engineering experience.\nExperience in foul and surface water drainage design.\nExperience in watermain design.\nExperience using MicroDrainage or equivalent drainage modelling software.\nStrong working knowledge of Civil 3D.\nHigh level of competency in AutoCAD.\nExperience working to Uisce Éireann design and construction standards.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nFull driving licence and availability to attend client offices and sites throughout the Cork region.\nDesirable Experience\nExperience within the Irish residential development market.\nKnowledge of planning and development infrastructure processes.\nExperience with 3D modelling software and BIM environments.\nExperience working as part of multidisciplinary design teams.\nKey Competencies\nStrong technical design capability.\nAttention to detail and commitment to quality.\nEffective communication and teamwork skills.\nProactive and solution-focused approach.\nAbility to manage multiple project priorities.\n What’s in It for You?\nAn exciting new growth role in a fast-organic growing business, offering clear and accelerated career progression.\nTop Employers 2025 - Egis recognised across four continents for excellence in HR practices, having been awarded the prestigious Top Employer 2025 certification.
