Join a team where innovation is encouraged, collaboration is valued, and your work helps build a more sustainable future.\n We are looking for a Engineer, Utility Design in our Salt Lake City, UT office.\nThe Impact You’ll Make (Job Responsibilities)\nSupport the project manager and client with explanation of the utility relocation policies and processes that apply to each project for various utilities located within a project.\nCollect and review utility company plans and import into OpenRoads Designer.\nPrepare 3D utility models of existing and proposed utilities.\nReview existing utility data against project design to perform a conflict analysis.\nDocument potential conflicts and proposed mitigations.\nPrepare Standard Utility Agreements to include all pertinent data and exhibit materials.\nCoordinate with utility companies on relocation designs and potential betterments to be included in the project.\nDesign water and sewer lines in OpenRoads Designer.\nDevelop specifications and engineer’s estimate for relocation designs.\nSupport project managers and others in the office with marketing and developing client relationships.\nBuild client base to obtain stand-alone utility project work.\n The Expertise You’ll Bring (Qualifications)\nB.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is desirable.\n5+ years of utility design/coordination experience is required\nSolid verbal and written communication skills.\nGood interpersonal and customer service skills working with UDOT, local governments and third- party utility companies.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nStrong ongoing documentation skills, fully inclusive of all utilities.\nDemonstrated experience using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD/Civil3D, and Microsoft Excel, and other applications typically used by utility design professionals.\nApplication of ASCE 38-02 (Standard Guideline for the Collection and Depiction of Existing Subsurface Utility Data)\nUDOT utility coordination and design experience preferred.\n Why You'll Thrive at Egis\nAt Egis, you'll do more than build your career-you'll help shape the future of infrastructure.
