The role supports geotechnical engineering design and delivery, including foundations, roadways and pavements, retaining structures, slope stability, and ground improvement solutions.\nThe role contributes to site investigations, analyzes soil, rock, and groundwater data, and prepares technical designs, specifications, reports, and other engineering documentation. Responsibilities also include advancing work through concept and detailed design, monitoring schedules and financial performance, and liaising with clients, government and regulatory bodies, and contractors.\nCandidates require a university degree in Civil Engineering, Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure in Ontario, and a minimum of 8 years of progressive geotechnical design experience in a professional services environment. Experience delivering large-scale projects and knowledge of municipal engineering policies, regulations, guidelines, and procedures are also required.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport geotechnical engineering delivery for major projects, including light rail transit infrastructure.\nSupport the design and assessment of foundations, roadways and pavements, retaining structures, slope stability, and ground improvement solutions.\nDevelop site investigation programs for geotechnical design assignments.\nAnalyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to support geotechnical design recommendations.\nPrepare engineering designs, specifications, reports, and technical documentation for geotechnical deliverables.\nAdvance assigned work through concept and detailed design phases.\nMonitor project schedules, financial performance, and invoicing against established project requirements.\nAssess client needs and industry developments to inform proposed geotechnical solutions.\nLiaise with clients, government and regulatory bodies, and contractors throughout project delivery.\nManage existing client relationships and contribute to the development of new client relationships.\n Required\nUniversity degree in Civil Engineering.\nLicensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.\nMinimum 8 years of progressive geotechnical design experience within a professional services environment.\nDemonstrated experience delivering large-scale projects.\nThorough knowledge of municipal engineering policies, regulations, guidelines, and operational procedures.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills in English.\nValid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.\n We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
