As a key member of our transportation infrastructure division, you will play a crucial role in designing safe, efficient, and sustainable highway systems that connect communities and drive economic growth.\nDevelop comprehensive highway design plans using advanced software tools such as OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.\nCreate detailed engineering drawings, including plans, profiles, and cross-sections for highway projects.\nAnalyze traffic flow patterns and incorporate safety considerations into design solutions.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design approaches.\nInterpret and implement local and national highway design standards and regulations.\nConduct site inspections and field work to gather essential data for design projects.\nPrepare accurate cost estimates and tender documents for highway construction projects.\nParticipate in client meetings and present design concepts to stakeholders.\nStay current with emerging technologies and best practices in highway design.\nContribute to environmental impact assessments for proposed highway projects.\nMentor junior team members and share technical expertise.\n 0-2 years of experience in civil modeling with a strong emphasis on road and alignment, corridor modeling, grading, and surface design using Civil 3D.\nWorking knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D (including alignment, corridors, assemblies, surfaces, and data shortcuts), AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Desktop Connector.\nExperience with tools such as Vehicle Tracking, Navisworks Manage, Dynamo for Civil 3D, Python scripting for automation, and Bentley OpenRoads is considered a strong asset.\nFamiliarity with grading, pavement design, de-icing, road cross-sections, and ICAO/TP312 or Transport Canada standards is an advantage.\nWorking knowledge of applicable Ontario and Canadian road and aviation codes and standards, including OPSD, OTM Book 7, and MOE/MTO guidelines.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.\nStrong coordination, documentation, and version control skills.\nCommitment to quality, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for optimizing digital design workflows.\n We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
