In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining critical IT infrastructure systems that support port and terminal operations. You will work with complex, mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment where reliability and efficiency are paramount. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a commitment to operational excellence.\nDesign, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure systems supporting port and terminal operations, including servers, networks, and storage solutions\nMonitor and optimize system performance, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency for all critical infrastructure components\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to port operations systems, including SCADA and industrial control systems\nImplement and enforce security protocols and cybersecurity measures to protect critical infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities\nManage network architecture, including configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of networking equipment and systems\nCollaborate with terminal operations teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions\nConduct regular system audits and performance analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization\nDocument all infrastructure configurations, procedures, and changes in a clear and organized manner\nProvide technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users on infrastructure-related matters\nEvaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance system performance and operational capabilities\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for port and terminal operations\n Minimum 12 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure management and system administration\nProven experience working with port, terminal, or maritime operations technology systems\nStrong knowledge of network administration, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall management\nHands-on experience with SCADA systems and industrial control systems\nProficiency with virtualization platforms and cloud infrastructure technologies\nExperience with system monitoring and management tools\nSolid understanding of cybersecurity principles and critical infrastructure protection\nKnowledge of database management and backup/disaster recovery solutions\nExcellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with strong attention to detail\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment\nStrong organizational and documentation skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities\nPreferred: Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco certifications, or ITIL\nPreferred: Experience with project management and vendor coordination\nPreferred: Familiarity with Gulf region port operations and infrastructure
