You will own the integrity of project financial reporting, challenge performance and help project leaders make evidence-based decisions that protect margin, cash and delivery outcomes.\nKey responsibilities:\nProduce accurate and timely monthly project reporting, including cost-to-complete forecasts and Estimate at Completion (EAC)\nEnsure revenue is recognised in line with policy, including percentage-of-completion and milestone-based methods, with a clear audit trail\nIdentify margin deterioration early through variance analysis, trend review and constructive challenge during monthly project reviews\nRaise billing milestones on time, monitor working capital and minimise unbilled balances\nEnsure project variations are captured, priced and approved before work proceeds\nMaintain project risk and opportunity registers, ensuring contingency is supported and drawdown is transparent\nSupport budgeting and forecasting cycles with realistic, evidence-based project positions\nYou will be a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong financial control with the confidence to influence project teams.\nAnalytical and detail-focused, you can translate complex project data into clear insight, challenge assumptions constructively and maintain high standards in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nStrong commercial judgement and a proactive approach to identifying financial risk and opportunity\nClear and credible communicator, able to build effective relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders\nHighly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work to monthly deadlines\nConfident in providing constructive challenge and taking ownership through to resolution\nCollaborative, curious and committed to continuous improvement\n Proven experience in project financial control, project accounting or commercial finance within a project-led environment\nStrong understanding of project lifecycle financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost-to-complete and EAC\nPractical knowledge of revenue recognition, including percentage-of-completion and milestone-based accounting\nExperience of margin and variance analysis, billing, unbilled revenue, working capital, change control and project risk management\nAdvanced Excel skills and confidence working with finance, ERP and project reporting systems\nExperience partnering with project managers and senior stakeholders to improve financial performance and decision-making\nA recognised accounting qualification, or active progress towards one, is desirable; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered\nExperience in engineering, consultancy, infrastructure, construction or another complex project-based sector is advantageous\n Equality, Diversity & Inclusion\nEgis is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion.
