Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will provide technical leadership and deliver high-quality EI&C solutions that help our clients improve the reliability, safety and performance of critical infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work across local, national and potentially international projects while collaborating with experienced engineers across multiple disciplines.\nKey Responsibilities\nDeliver technically excellent electrical, instrumentation and control engineering solutions for water infrastructure projects.\nProduce and review engineering calculations and deliverables including load schedules, cable sizing calculations, single line diagrams, schematics, specifications, datasheets, technical reports and engineering evaluations.\nDevelop and review control system architectures and EI&C designs incorporating PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA systems, instrumentation and industrial communications networks.\nSupport the design, configuration, integration and commissioning of control and automation systems.\nManage or lead small to medium projects, or technical work packages within larger multidisciplinary projects.\nUndertake technical reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.\nContribute to Safety in Design initiatives and promote safe construction, operation and maintenance outcomes.\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships through professional and proactive project delivery.\nSupport bids, tenders and business development activities.\nMentor and develop junior engineers and contribute to the growth of technical capability within the team. \n Essential\nDegree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Control Engineering, or a related discipline.\nDemonstrated experience delivering EI&C engineering projects within a consulting, utility, contractor or infrastructure environment.\nExperience preparing electrical design documentation including calculations, reports, drawings and specifications.\nWorking knowledge of control systems including PLCs, SCADA, RTUs, instrumentation and industrial communication networks.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.\nDemonstrated commitment to technical quality, safety and client service.\nExperience mentoring junior engineers and supporting project delivery teams. \nDesirable\nExperience delivering water and wastewater treatment, pump station, pipeline or bulk water infrastructure projects.\nExperience supporting construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities.\nProfessional registration or eligibility for professional registration. · Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and industry best practice. \n What's In It For You?\nFlexible working arrangements, including remote working options.\nA structured learning and development framework aligned to career progression goals.\nProfessional mentoring and support from experienced technical leaders.\nOpportunities to work across government, private and infrastructure sectors.\nOpportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Australia and New Zealand.\nEmployee Assistance Program and wellbeing support initiatives.\nAn inclusive culture that celebrates performance, collaboration and continuous development.\nSupportive leadership focused on openness and career growth.\nOur Commitment\nEgis is committed to creating an inclusive, creative culture that embraces diversity and flexibility.
