Join a team where innovation is encouraged, collaboration is valued, and your work helps build a more sustainable future.\n As the Senior Project Engineer, you will work on a wide variety of highway improvement projects, interstate and toll capacity projects, alternative contracting and as needed assist the regional leadership with development of PD&E projects for the highway sector.\nThe Impact You'll Make:\nCivil engineering design and analysis on projects for our public sector clients\nCollaborating with junior staff and assisting in the direction of other technical staff to produce quality designs and plans and interpreting plans from other engineering related disciplines (survey, utility, etc.)\nAssist with the development of Preliminary Engineering Reports and PD&E Concept Plans.\nAssist and participate in marketing pursuits including proposal writing, research and presentation development.\nDeveloping construction documents, estimates and assisting with construction administration services\nServing as a Task Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager with responsibilities that include budget and schedule management as well as some client interaction\nAssisting Senior Project Manager with oversight and management of major highway capacity projects including design bid build, design build and P3 work.\nCoordination of engineering design staff and other disciplines to meet objectives.\nAssist with monitoring financial progress and scheduling of major infrastructure projects.\n The Expertise You'll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field\n8+ years of experience in transportation design and construction plan production. \nActive PE license\nProficiency with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD).\nStrong technical skills with the desire to contribute to and grow in the management of complex transportation projects.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.\nExperience coordinating with internal project teams, subconsultants, and prime consultant partners.\nStrong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Expertise:\nExperience with tolled express lanes and/or interstate capacity improvement projects.\nExperience with alternative delivery methods and contracting approaches (Design-Build, CM/GC, P3).\nExperience working with FDOT and/or NCDOT processes, standards, and project delivery requirements.\n Why You'll Thrive at Egis\nAt Egis, you'll do more than build your career-you'll help shape the future of infrastructure.
