We work side by side with clients to build a more balanced, sustainable and resilient world.\nOmnia Projects, part of the Egis Group, are a UK-based engineering consultancy specialising in electricity Transmission and Distribution (T&D) providing engineering, project management and technical assurance.\nProject Description\nSupplementing the Clients capability, the successful individual will support and work with the inhouse project delivery to provide works across several asset classes to include substations, underground cables, overhead lines and civils. This will cover at all system voltages from low voltage (LV) up to and including 400kV.\nThe Opportunity\nAs a Senior Project Manager (8+ years’ experience), you will design, plan and deliver project works from feasibility through to completion, ensuring compliance with Grid standards, systems and licence obligations.\nKey responsibilities:\nUse and comply with client procedures, business systems and data/asset systems.\nUndertake site investigations and develop compliant engineering solutions and designs.\nProduce firm cost proposals, quotations, and validated estimates for connection offers.\nSpecify, order and manage equipment, plant and supplier/contractor interfaces.\nReview designs, ICP submissions and supplier tenders; attend FAT and witness testing.\nProject manage works (whole or part lifecycle) to time, cost and quality targets.\nAdminister contracts, tenders, mobilisation and ongoing contract management.\nDevelop and manage programmes, providing regular progress and cost forecasts to the client.\nLead project teams and meetings; manage stakeholders and customer engagement.\nEnsure delivery meets client quality, safety (including CDM duties), and environmental standards.\nUndertake audits, site inspections and contribute to client audit programmes.\nIdentify and manage project risks and resource requirements.\nMaintain client operational authorisations for substation access and supervision.\nUpdate asset records and support portfolio resource planning.\nKnowledge & Qualifications\nProven track record in the electricity distribution and/or transmission industry, delivering Project Manager activities with typically 5+ years’ experience.\nStrong technical knowledge across all distribution asset classes (cables, overhead lines, substations and civils), with the competence to take responsibility for works from LV up to and including 66kV.\nDemonstrable experience managing both major projects and high-volume workstreams, including responsibility for projects typically valued in excess of £5m.\nAbility to manage multiple projects concurrently.\nDegree in Electrical Engineering preferred; HNC or equivalent qualifications will also be considered.\nNEBOSH or equivalent qualification in safety management.\nExperience working on CDM notifiable projects.\nAdditional Information\nThis is a hybrid role, involving a blend of home working and regular site visits across the North.\nEquality, Diversity & Inclusion\nWe at EGIS are an Equal Opportunities employer and we recognise the value of a Diverse Organisation.
