Egis’ long history of providing comprehensive engineering, consulting, and project management services makes it a trusted partner for regional governments, investors, and developers.\n Position Summary\nThe Structural Engineer shall be responsible for the technical review and management of all structural engineering submissions during the construction phase, ensuring compliance with the contract requirements, design intent, international standards, and local authority regulations. The role requires extensive experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel, and themed entertainment projects, including the integration of thematic elements, attraction structures, show sets, facades, and specialty support systems.\nThe Structural Engineer will act as the primary technical focal point for structural matters and will coordinate closely with architectural, MEP, façade, theming, ride, and infrastructure disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Review\nReview and assess structural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, temporary works submissions, and engineering calculations prepared by Contractors.\nReview structural design proposals and alternative solutions submitted by Contractors.\nVerify compliance of all submissions with IFC drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and design intent.\nReview and evaluate structural calculations for reinforced concrete, structural steel, precast, secondary steel, and specialty structures.\nReview value engineering proposals and provide technical recommendations to the Resident Engineer and Client.\nMultidisciplinary Coordination\nCoordinate structural requirements with Architectural, MEP, Infrastructure, Façade, Theming, Landscape, and Ride Engineering teams.\nIdentify and resolve clashes between structural works and other disciplines.\nParticipate in interdisciplinary design review workshops and technical coordination meetings.\nReview interface requirements between structural systems and themed elements, show sets, ride systems, special equipment, and architectural features.\nTheming & Entertainment Projects\nReview structural support systems for themed facades, artificial rockworks, scenic elements, show action equipment, attraction structures, and specialty installations.\nCoordinate with specialist theming contractors and ride vendors to ensure structural compatibility and compliance with the approved design.\nAssess structural adequacy of support frames, secondary steel structures, themed cladding supports, and suspended themed elements.\nSupport the review of mock-ups, prototypes, themed features, and specialty fabrication submissions.\nEngineering Support During Construction\nProvide technical guidance to site supervision teams regarding structural construction activities.\nEvaluate site-related structural issues and propose engineering solutions.\nReview field changes and construction deviations and assess their impact on the structural integrity of the project.\nSupport the review of Contractor requests for information and technical queries.\nAssist in resolving complex construction and coordination issues.\nContract Administration\nPrepare technical comments on Contractor submissions within contractual timelines.\nReview variation requests and assess technical implications.\nReview claims related to structural works and provide engineering recommendations.\nParticipate in change management and design development reviews where required.\nAuthority & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with UAE regulations, project specifications, international codes, and authority requirements.\nCoordinate with regulatory authorities when structural approvals or clarifications are required.\nEnsure all structural submissions comply with project quality management procedures.\nExperience Requirements\nMinimum 10 years of structural engineering experience.\nMinimum 5 years' experience with Construction Supervision Consultants in the UAE or GCC.\nProven experience in the review and coordination of:Reinforced Concrete Structures.\nStructural Steel Structures.\nTemporary Works and Construction Engineering.\nTheming and Entertainment Projects.\nHospitality, Commercial, Mixed-Use, or Landmark Developments.\n\nExperience in Theme Parks, Attractions, Resorts, Cultural Projects, or Entertainment Destinations is highly desirable.\nExperience coordinating with specialist theming contractors, attraction vendors, and facade consultants is preferred.\nTechnical Competencies\nStrong knowledge of:ACI Codes.\nAISC Steel Standards.\nEurocodes.\nBritish Standards (BS).\nASTM Standards.\nUAE Building Codes and Authority Requirements.\n\nAdvanced understanding of structural steel design, connection detailing, fabrication, and erection methodologies.\nStrong understanding of reinforced concrete design and construction practices.\nExperience reviewing design calculations, finite element analysis outputs, and in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro)\nIn-depth understanding of building codes and standards (e.g., Eurocode, ACI, AISC)\nStrong project management skills and
