Join a team where innovation is encouraged, collaboration is valued, and your work helps build a more sustainable future.\n We are looking for a Senior Water Engineer, Land Development in our Pittsburgh or Camp Hill, PA office.\nThe Impact You’ll Make (Job Responsibilities)\nIndependently progresses design to gain agency approval of at least 3 of the following: stormwater management BMPs, storm drainage systems, erosion & sediment control, grading.\nDemonstrated understanding of either PennDOT or Pennsylvania Turnpike design criteria and standards.\nExperience in the preparation of quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, plans, specifications and drainage reports.\nMentor and train junior staff members.\nDevelop technical scope and price proposals for water resource tasks\nEffectively plan/communicate/coordinate their own work and work of others contributing to water resource design to meet scope, schedule and budget. \nMonitor and communicate project related issues, scope changes and budget variances that may arise during the development of projects.\nApplies experience to see beyond the task at hand to anticipate risk and the effect of their design on other project elements.\nOptimizing work processes by using knowledge of the most effective and efficient ways to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.\nAbility to assist on water resource projects across the region/country. \n The Expertise You’ll Bring (Qualifications)\nFour-year degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering degree.\nPennsylvania PE required.\n8+ years of experience in related water resources design and management.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nProficiency designing with MicroStation and stormwater software (HydroCAD, Hydraflow, Pondpack, or SWMM)\nExperience gaining permits/approvals such as: NPDES Permit, DEP General Permit GP-11, Joint Permit Applications and Conservation District. \nExperience preforming hydrological and hydraulic calculations and models using HEC-RAS\nProficiency designing with Civil3D or Open Roads Designer\n Why You'll Thrive at Egis\nAt Egis, you'll do more than build your career-you'll help shape the future of infrastructure.
