Egis's data centre mechanical design offer across India\nAct as the senior mechanical authority on hyperscale and colocation programmes, from concept through to handover\nCombine technical leadership with client engagement, bid support and P&L accountability\nKey responsibilities\nProvide mechanical discipline leadership on hyperscale and colocation data centre projects\nSet and uphold design standards, QA/QC and technical governance\nLead client presentations, design reviews and technical interviews at senior level\nSupport bids and proposals, including strategy, scope, resourcing and fee build up\nOwn P&L performance for the mechanical discipline: utilisation, margin, forecasting and resource planning\nCoach, mentor and develop senior engineers and team leads\nWork with BIM and digital teams to drive coordinated, efficient delivery\nBuild relationships with hyperscalers, colocation operators, developers and contractors\nDiscipline focus: Mechanical\nCooling strategy for hyperscale and colocation facilities, including air, hybrid and liquid cooling (direct to chip, immersion)\nChilled water systems, heat rejection, and water use optimisation\nPUE and WUE performance and energy efficiency\nResilience concepts (N+1, 2N) and input to testing and commissioning\nCoordination with electrical, architecture, structure and BIM teams\n 18+ years in mechanical or HVAC engineering, with 8+ years in data centres\nProven delivery of hyperscale and colocation facilities, ideally multi site and multi region\nPrior experience at Director, Associate Director or Technical Director level\nTrack record of managing a P&L or significant commercial responsibility\nExcellent presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills, comfortable with C level and client stakeholders\nStrong coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams, with a working knowledge of BIM\nChartered or professionally qualified engineer (CEng or equivalent), registered with a relevant professional body\nDegree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline\nDesirable\nMiddle East data centre experience\nExperience working on international or multicultural teams\nExperience building or scaling a data centre practice\n Chartered Engineer (CE) or equivalent professional certification\nExperience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects\nFamiliarity with project management tools and methodologies\nExperience in client liaison and stakeholder management\nKnowledge of sustainable design practices and green building standards\nExperience with site inspections and quality assurance verification\nProven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget\nAbility to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nCommitment to professional development and continuous
