We take our role seriously as contributing to the safety and efficiency of Waterford’s transportation infrastructure, improving journey times and connectivity for communities in the city and its environs.\n Southlink N25 Ltd is currently recruiting for a part-time Toll Operator. The hours of work are 30 hours per week:\nMonday to Friday 7am-1pm rotating 1pm-7pm weekly:\nThis role has arisen due to maternity leave cover and will end on the permanent operators return to the role.\n Role and responsibilities:\nThe collection of tolls at N25 toll plaza (Southlink- Waterford).\nTo correctly identify vehicles by class / type, to collect the appropriate tolls and to issue change and receipts as appropriate in an efficient and customer friendly manner.\nTo assist in maintaining optimum traffic flow so as to minimise delay, maximise throughput and meet business targets and ensure customer satisfaction with the tolling service.\nTo follow established procedures for handling of cash, transfer to the Cash Office and completion of the ‘cash-up’ procedure at end of shift / work session.\nTo ensure that all customer enquiries and complaints received at toll booths are addressed and / or reported and escalated as appropriate in accordance with established procedures.\nPersonal Attributes:\nAdaptable and flexible with a willingness to work irregular hours.\nFriendly and outgoing personality.\nAbility to work as part of a team.\nSelf-motivated and enthusiastic.\n Qualifications and experience preferred:\n2nd level education \nExperience working in a customer service orientated environment\nExperience working in a cash handling role\nGood numerical ability\nDetail conscious\nAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing\nAbility to deal with members of the public in respect of queries, complaints and the enforcement of Company policies and procedures\nAbility to handle customer conflict\n We are committed to our planet\nIn each project we design, engineer and operate we care deeply about the legacy we’re leaving behind.
