A Professional Engineer (PE) with 8 years of experience with transportation projects and managing KDOT and KTA projects.\nThe Impact You'll Make\nResponsible for the management of design projects for KDOT, KTA and other municipal clients.\nDirect and/or perform engineering calculations from preliminary to final design.\nDirect and/or develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.\nResponsible for client development and fostering relationships with existing and new clients.\nCoordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.\nResponsible for management of project budgets, goal setting, determining scope of work, estimating fees, and preparing proposals and contracts on projects.\nSchedule work for team members to deliver projects on time and on budget.\nEnsure efficient and productive utilization of staff in providing high-quality service.\n The Expertise You'll Bring\nBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.\n8+ years of experience on transportation projects. Experience managing KDOT or other municipal projects is a plus.\nExperience in design software. Experience in MicroStation and Open Roads designer is a plus\nProfessional License in KS or ability to obtain an KS PE within 6 months of hire.\nMust be willing to do business development and marketing in KS and MO.
