Join a team where innovation is encouraged, collaboration is valued, and your work helps build a more sustainable future.\n As the Utility Engineering Lead, you'll provide technical and project leadership for utility engineering, utility coordination, and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) services across Texas. You'll lead project teams, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, support business development efforts, and help deliver critical transportation infrastructure projects for TxDOT and local agencies.\nThe Impact You'll Make:\nLead and grow the Egis Utility Engineering practice, overseeing utility engineers, coordinators, SUE technicians, and inspectors.\nManage department operations, including staffing, resource planning, budgeting, and project scheduling.\nServe as a technical leader on utility engineering, utility coordination, and SUE projects supporting major transportation infrastructure programs, including TxDOT projects.\nOversee utility conflict analysis, utility adjustment design, relocation coordination, and related engineering services.\nCoordinate with utility owners, TxDOT, contractors, CEI teams, and design staff to resolve conflicts and support project delivery.\nReview and oversee the preparation of utility plans, agreements, reimbursement packages, technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.\nProvide quality oversight and ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule and in accordance with client requirements.\nSupport business development efforts through proposal development, client presentations, interviews, and contract pursuits.\nFoster strong client relationships and mentor staff while promoting collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.\n The Expertise You'll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering.\nLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.\n10+ years of experience leading utility engineering, utility coordination, and conflict management efforts on transportation projects.\nDemonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering and technical staff.\nAbility to effectively communicate and build relationships with clients, utility owners, public agencies, and project stakeholders.\nStrong organizational, project management, and attention-to-detail skills.\nAbility to represent Egis in client meetings, industry events, interviews, and business development activities.\nPreferred Expertise\nExperience supporting TxDOT transportation projects.\nExperience with roadway, drainage, bridge design, or construction engineering.\nProficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD).\nExperience supporting utility coordination, utility relocation, and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) services on complex transportation projects.\n Why You'll Thrive at Egis\nAt Egis, you'll do more than build your career-you'll help shape the future of infrastructure.
