Egmont’s cloud footprint is very large and requires that all engineers think about automation and streamlining first. \n\nYour Role & Impact \nWe are looking for a colleague that is great at asking questions and challenging decisions. We want to build a modern, strong and scalable platform for our many subsidiaries(120+ companies) and we need the right people to do that. \n\nYou will be doing hands-on work on our many platforms and solutions to ensure that we constantly improve on new solutions. As well as evaluating old implementations to determine when it is time to modernize. \n\nResponsibilities \n\nOperate and optimize Egmont’s multi-cloud environments \n\nAutomate routine and repetitive tasks and streamline operations. \n\nStrengthen observability and proactive monitoring in our tools – We use Datadog \n\nUse Infrastructure as Code to manage changes and enforce standard and detect drift \n\nDrive modernization initiatives to reduce manual work and promote automation \n\nCollaborate with developers, security, and infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to ensure stability and compliance \n\nContribute ideas, challenge the status quo, and help evolve our culture \n\nWhat You’ll Bring (Qualifications) \nWe're looking for a blend of technical expertise and a collaborative, proactive mindset. \n\nDesired Skills \n\nExperience from previous cloud engineering, operations or DevOps roles \n\nStrong hands-on experience with Azure or AWS (GCP is also a plus) \n\nScripting skills in any popular language \n\nExperience with IaC tools, any apply but we use Terraform \n\nGood understanding of networking \n\nExperience working with modern observability tools like Datadog \n\nKnows how to setup, configure and operate server based infrastructure, running both Linux and Windows \n\nWorking with source control in GitHub or similar providers \n\nExperience in agentic tooling and a curiosity in following latest trends \n\nPersonal Qualities \nYou can build, automate, and optimize, but you also know that reliability, performance, and security are the foundation of success.
