Gems International School - Soma Bay is inviting applications for the position of Art Teacher at our prestigious institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality art education that inspires creativity, critical thinking, and an appreciation for the arts among our diverse student body.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to different learning styles.
  • Encourage student participation and nurture their artistic talents through various mediums and techniques.
  • Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Create a vibrant and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and collaboration.
  • Organize and participate in art exhibitions, competitions, and school events to showcase student work.
  • Work collaboratively with other faculty members to integrate art across the curriculum where appropriate.
  • Manage classroom resources efficiently and maintain a safe and organized learning space.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices and trends in art education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching art in a school setting, preferably with diverse age groups.
  • Excellent knowledge of various artistic techniques, media, and art history.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Organizational skills to effectively manage classroom materials and student records.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding policies.
