This is an exciting and cutting edge opportunity to work with radar designs and build something new.\nThe ideal candidate will offer design, development, and improvement of software for our family of ground-based radar systems. The successful candidate will take software designs/requirements and translate them into clear, well-documented, code. A strong understanding of C++ language fundamentals, computer networking, and parallel processing paradigms is required.\nThe radar software engineer duties will include, but not limited to:\nDevelop software implementations of radar algorithms, from low-level radar signal processing to high-level tracking algorithms. Implementation targets may include virtual machines, embedded systems, etc.\nDevelop software to interface with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGAs. Software may include command-line test tools, benchmarks, or other utilities to assist in testing firmware.\nDevelop unit and integration tests for new and existing codebases.\nDevelop new functionalities using distributed message frameworks and message passing architectures and add functionalities to interact with the radar user interface.\nDevelop documentation in-code and in PowerPoint/Word for use in product documentation.\nDevelop performance improvements to existing code.\nParticipate in Agile development practices including daily standups and sprint planning/reviews.\nUtilize tools such as Git, GitLab, Jira, and Doxygen for code management, issue tracking, Agile planning, and documentation.\nFlexibility to assist on other projects at Eikon as needed. This may include development in other languages (C++/C, Java, MATLAB, JavaScript), participation in software architecture design discussions, documentation, code testing, code reviews, etc.\nRequirements\nMinimum Candidate Requirements\nCandidate must have Bachelor's Degree in computer science, math, physics, or engineering-related field or 5+ years additional experience in lieu of a degree. Advanced degrees are equal to years of experience as follows: Master's degree - 2 years of experience, Doctorate degree - 2 years of experience\nCandidate must be US Citizen\nCandidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain/maintain DoD/DoW Secret Clearance\nCandidate must have 5+ years experience with the following:\nC++11 or later, CMake, and GCC for ARM and x86-64 targets\nPractical Linux usage\nVersion Control Experience (Git, GitLab)\nAbility to work in-office when performing hardware integration and testing\nAbility to work in both a group and individual capacity\nDesired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities\nBackground in radar, signal processing, or electrical engineering\nBackground in embedded systems and real-time software development\nBackground experience with AMD / Xilinx Zynq / Zynq Ultrascale MPSoC or RFSoC (Multi-Processor System-on-Chip or RF System-on-Chip), or AMD / Xilinx FPGAs (field-programmable gate arrays)\"\nAbout Eikon Research Inc.\nEikon Research Inc.
