You will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, managing chemical inventory and solvent preparation, enforcing safety protocols, and fostering a collaborative work environment.\nAbout you\nA highly organized and proactive professional with strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Able to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and effectively support laboratory operations and scientific teams. Adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nSupervise and assist laboratory technicians by delegating tasks and regularly monitoring their progress to ensure the completion of assignments and the efficient use of resources.\nCarry out designated routine activities.\nEnsure the upkeep and calibration of laboratory equipment, guaranteeing its constant readiness for operation.\nManage and track equipment inventory and equipment monitoring.\nPrepare and maintain solvent and reagent stock solutions to support daily lab operations.\nMaintain accurate chemical inventory, including tracking stock levels, expiration dates, proper labeling, and storage.\nHandle and coordinate the disposal of hazardous chemical waste in compliance with EPA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.\nManage procurement of lab supplies and chemicals, including vendor coordination and purchase orders.\nEnforce lab safety rules, hazardous material handling, and waste disposal practices.\nDevelop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lab processes and safety protocols.\nEvaluate laboratory performance and advise on improvements to optimize efficiency.\nPromote teamwork, provide guidance, and help your team grow professionally.\nThis position requires participation in an on-call rotation for one week per month.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in a related scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, etc.).\nBachelor’s degree in Chemistry preferred.\nProven leadership experience in a lab setting.\nStrong organizational and multitasking skills.\nGood communication skills for working with your team and researchers.\nKnowledge of lab safety protocols and equipment handling.\nComfortable using lab software and data analysis tools.\nA commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.\nAt Eikon, employee compensation also includes bonus and equity compensation, in addition to several generous benefit programs, including:\n401k plan with company matching\nMedical (premiums covered by Eikon at 95%), dental and vision insurance (premiums covered by Eikon at 100%)\nMental health and wellness benefits\nWeeklong summer and winter holiday shutdowns\nGenerous paid time off and holiday policies\nLife/AD&D Insurance (premiums covered by Eikon at 100%) and optional supplemental employee-paid life/AD&D policies \nEnhanced parental leave benefit\nDaily subsidized lunch program when on-site\nThe expected salary range for this role is $95,000 to $105,000 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.\nEikon is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment.\nWe are currently not accepting any new third-party agencies or firms at this time.
