Together, we forge dynamic, long-term partnerships to develop innovative solutions that meet Europe's growing demand for raw materials.\nThe Role\nWe’re looking for a Senior Education Manager (m/f/d) to play a key role in translating our Education strategy into successful programme delivery for the European Raw Materials Academy and the European Advanced Materials Academy. You will provide oversight across our Academies, lead teams and complex workstreams, manage key stakeholders and governance processes, and ensure programmes deliver against their financial, contractual, and performance objectives.\nKey Accountabilities\nStrategic Leadership & Oversight: Support the Head of Academies in driving strategy and execution across both Academies, aligned with organizational and EU priorities.\nProgramme Coordination: Coordinate contractual and reporting obligations.\nTeam Management & Capacity Building: Lead team structure, capacity planning, and performance, ensuring clear accountability and effective delivery across work packages.\nStakeholder & Governance Management: Manage engagement with key governance stakeholders, including the Advisory Board, EIT, and internal Steering Committee.\nAdvisory Board Coordination: Coordinate Advisory Board meetings and ensure strategic recommendations are reflected in programme delivery.\nSteering Committee Engagement: Support the Head of Academies in coordinating Steering Committee meetings, progress reporting, and decision-making.\nMonitoring, Reporting & PRM: Oversee KPIs, forecasts, programme monitoring, and reporting, addressing performance gaps with relevant work packages\nFinancial Management & Budget Oversight: Oversee budgets, forecasting, cost eligibility, and financial performance in line with EU funding requirements.\nLegal & Contractual Compliance: Ensure programme activities comply with contractual, legal, and grant requirements.\nProject Management & Delivery Oversight: Oversee delivery across work packages, including learner acquisition, training distribution, and operational readiness.\nOperational Systems & Tools: Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of programme management tools and processes.\nRisk Management: Identify and mitigate programme risks, coordinate corrective actions, and escalate significant issues when required.\nProcurement Support: Support compliant and efficient procurement processes in collaboration with Operations, Compliance, and Accounting.\nInternal Coordination: Ensure effective collaboration with Finance, Legal, Communications, and other internal functions.\nTeam Building & WP Cohesion: Strengthen collaboration and team cohesion across work packages and remote teams, including team meetings and off-sites.\nNon-Academy Education Programmes: Support Business Plan and KAVA activities, ensuring Academy and non-Academy education projects contribute to overall organizational goals.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nA university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.\n\n5+ years of experience in programme or project management, ideally within education, skills, innovation, or EU-funded programmes.\n\nProven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programmes and cross-functional teams.\n\nStrong knowledge of programme planning, budgeting, KPI tracking, reporting, and risk management.\n\nExperience with EU-funded projects, grant management, and compliance is highly desirable.\n\nStrong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.\n\nExcellent communication skills and professional fluency in English.\n\nExperience with European institutions, the EIT ecosystem, or education and training programmes is an advantage.\n\nPosition Details\nLocation: Berlin, Germany.\nContract: Full-time.\nDuration: Fixed-term contract until 2028/2029, with the possibility of extension.\nTravel: Occasional travel within Europe is required.\nReports to: Head of Academies, EIT RawMaterials.\nCommitment to Diversity: EIT RawMaterials is committed to diversity and inclusion.
