If you are interested in improving the environment and advancing your career, then EKI is the place for you.\nThe Billing Specialist position reports to the Senior Accountant and is responsible for providing accounting support across company operations.\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nYour responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to the following:\nBuild strong relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to Project Managers through the life cycle of the project from notice of award to final closeout\nSet up and maintain projects in Deltek Ajera in accordance with contract requirements; read and interpret contracts for accounting and invoicing implications\nGenerate 125 - 175 invoices per month\nPrepare and distribute monthly billing reports to Project Managers; process labor and expense transfers as necessary; ensure labor and expenses posted to project comply with the contract\nEnsure that accurate and complete invoice packages are submitted to the client in a timely manner including all applicable back-up required by the client\nRespond to internal and external clients promptly in a confident and professional manner; investigate issues, problem-solve and communicate resolution clearly and articulately\nFollow-up with clients to confirm receipt of invoices and regarding payment status of open invoices as needed; partner with Project Manager to resolve collection issues\nMonitor project Work-in-Progress (WIP) and review monthly aged WIP report with Project Manager; collaborate with Project Manager to resolve issues around aged WIP\nOther duties as required \nQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nMinimum of two (2) years of billing experience for consulting business\nProficiency in MS Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel [pivot tables], Word, PowerPoint, etc.)\nExperience with Deltek Ajera and Deltek Vantagepoint preferred \nCompetencies\nMust have effective communication skills both oral and written\nMust have a strong attention to detail and ability to follow through\nMust be a self-starter and prioritize workload\nMust have ability to multi-task, stay organized, work independently, and collaborate with various project teams\nMust have a strong desire to grow personally as well as professionally\nMust have a great attitude and eager to learn\nMust have a current valid driver’s license\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT\nMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with high-volume workload and frequent short deadlines\nMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs\nMust be able to work 10-hour days\nMust be able to work remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods\nMust be able to communicate with others to exchange information\nMust be able to assess the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\nMust be able to travel occasionally, possibly overnight for customer meetings and site visits 1 to 2 times per year.\nAs an employee-owned firm, EKI offers a unique company culture with a corporate commitment to maintaining a positive work/life experience.
