Budgeting and Financial ForecastingPrepare and monitor annual budgets in coordination with the General Manager and operational managers.\nDevelop monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecasts.\nAnalyse variances between actual results, budgets and forecasts, identifying corrective actions.\nMonitor operating expenses, overheads and departmental budgets.\nSupport management in preparing financial projections and business plans for new activities and projects.\n2. Project Financial Control and ProfitabilityMonitor the financial performance of engineering projects in Mauritius and internationally.\nTrack project budgets, actual costs, committed costs, revenues and profitability.\nAnalyse project margins, cost overruns and financial risks.\nMonitor project progress against budgets and forecasts, including estimated costs to complete.\nWork with Project Managers to identify opportunities to improve project profitability.\nEnsure accurate allocation of employee costs, subcontracting expenses, travel expenses and other project-related costs.\n3. Management Reporting and KPI MonitoringPrepare monthly management reports and financial dashboards for local management and EKIUM Group.\nMonitor key financial and operational indicators, including revenue, gross margin, operating costs, profitability and cash flow.\nAnalyse employee utilisation rates, billable hours and productivity.\nMonitor financial performance by project, business unit, client and geographical area.\nProvide financial analyses and recommendations to support management decisions.\n4. Cost Control and Operational EfficiencyMonitor and analyse fixed and variable operating costs.\nReview administrative expenses, subcontractor costs, travel expenses and other operational expenditure.\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities and propose improvements to financial performance.\nMonitor intercompany charges and cost allocations between EKIUM entities.\nSupport the optimisation of internal financial processes and cost-control procedures.\n5. Invoicing, Revenue and Cash Flow MonitoringMonitor project invoicing against contractual terms, milestones and work progress.\nCoordinate with Project Managers and the Finance Department to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.\nTrack unbilled revenue, work in progress and outstanding receivables.\nAssist in monitoring client payments and identifying potential cash-flow risks.\nPrepare cash-flow forecasts and support working capital optimisation.\n6. Timesheets and Resource PerformanceMonitor the accuracy and completeness of employee timesheets and project allocations.\nAnalyse billable and non-billable hours across engineering teams.\nMonitor resource utilisation and its impact on project profitability.\nWork with HR and operational managers to analyse personnel costs and workforce planning.\nSupport the preparation of project staffing and resource cost forecasts.\n7. Financial Systems and Data ReliabilityUse and maintain financial reporting tools, including Agresso and Microsoft Excel.\nEnsure the reliability and consistency of financial data used for management reporting.\nDevelop and improve automated reports, dashboards and financial analysis tools.\nSupport improvements to financial controls, reporting procedures and internal processes.\nCoordinate with EKIUM Group's finance teams to ensure consistent reporting methodologies.\n8. Support to Management and International OperationsProvide financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.\nAssist in evaluating the profitability of new projects, contracts and business opportunities.\nMonitor financial performance across the company's international operations, particularly Tanzania, Uganda and other African and Middle Eastern markets.\nSupport intercompany financial reporting and coordination with EKIUM Group.\nParticipate in budget reviews and management meetings, providing financial recommendations.\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Control or a related field.\nMinimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in management control, financial analysis or project controlling.\nStrong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting and financial reporting.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
