Data Parsing Specialist

EKK is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Data Parsing Specialist (Web Scraping).

Responsibilities:

** Parser Development. Develop and maintain scrapers for online stores and marketplaces, collecting product listings, SKUs, brands, prices, stock availability, delivery times, specifications, images, and technical documentation.

** Price and Availability Monitoring. Set up regular collection of prices and stock levels for specified brands and SKUs, track changes, and prepare summary reports.

** Data Processing. Standardize collected data into a consistent format, including SKUs, brands, units of measurement, and currencies. Match products against our database, identify duplicates, and detect discrepancies.

** Data Import and Integration. Store data in a database and transfer it to our internal systems (catalog and CRM) via APIs or CSV/Excel exports.

** Reliability and Maintenance. Schedule scraping jobs, monitor their performance, and quickly fix scrapers when websites change. Work with website anti-bot protections and automated access restrictions (request limits, proxies, headless browsers) in compliance with platform rules and applicable laws.

** Documentation. Document data sources, data structures, and scraper logic so that other developers can maintain the code.

Requirements:

** At least 2 years of Python experience in web scraping, using tools such as Scrapy, Playwright or Selenium, requests/httpx, and BeautifulSoup/lxml.
** Understanding of HTTP, HTML/DOM, CSS selectors, and XPath; experience working with internal website JSON APIs and dynamic pages.
** SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL or a similar database; pandas for data processing.
** Experience with Git, Docker, and Linux; familiarity with scheduling tasks using cron, Airflow, or similar tools.
** Experience scraping large catalogs (tens or hundreds of thousands of items) and implementing incremental data updates.
** Strong proficiency with AI tools is mandatory: AI coding assistants and large language models for extracting product specifications and matching products.
** Russian language proficiency; English at B1 level or above for reading technical documentation.

Nice to have:

** German language skills, as a significant portion of our data sources are German websites.
** Experience with product matching.
** Familiarity with technical data for industrial products and ETIM/ECLASS classification systems.
** Experience working with websites protected by anti-bot systems.
