recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: SOC Analyst\n\nLocation: Lagos \n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nRole Summary\n\nWe are seeking a SOC Analyst to monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats across the organization’s IT environment.\nThe analyst will work with SIEM, EDR, network security, and other security tools to identify suspicious activity, investigate incidents, and support timely remediation.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nInvestigate and triage suspected security incidents.\nEscalate confirmed or complex incidents to senior analysts or incident-response teams.\nDocument incidents, investigations, findings, and remediation actions.\nSupport incident response, containment, eradication, and recovery activities.\nAssist with vulnerability management and security assessments where required.\nAnalyze logs from endpoints, servers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, cloud environments, and applications.\nMaintain and improve security monitoring rules, detection logic, and dashboards.\nAnalyze phishing emails and investigate potentially compromised accounts.\nConduct basic threat hunting and identify suspicious patterns or anomalous behavior.\nFollow established security policies, procedures, and incident-response playbooks.\nIdentify indicators of compromise (IOCs), including malicious IPs, domains, hashes, and suspicious processes.\nPerform alert correlation, threat analysis, and incident investigation.\nMonitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms.\nStay informed about emerging threats, attack techniques, and MITRE ATT&CK techniques.\n\nKey Performance Indicators\n\nEffectiveness of detection rules and threat-hunting activities.\nIncident detection and escalation accuracy\nQuality and completeness of investigation documentation\nMean Time to Detect (MTTD)\nFalse-positive reduction\nAlert triage and response time\nMean Time to Respond (MTTR)\n\nQualifications\n\nRelevant certifications are an advantage, such as:\n Microsoft security certifications\nBlue Team Level 1 (BTL1)\nCompTIA CySA+\nCompTIA Security+\nGIAC certifications\nSplunk certifications\n\nDegree or diploma in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\n\nTypical Experience:\n\nSenior SOC Analyst: 4+ years\nSOC Analyst: 2–4 years\nJunior SOC Analyst: 0–2 years\n\nRequired Skills:\n\nKnowledge of SIEM technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or Elastic.\nBasic scripting knowledge, particularly PowerShell or Python, is advantageous.\nStrong understanding of:\n Active Directory\nWindows and Linux\nAbility to analyze security logs and correlate events.\nDNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP\nFirewalls and IDS/IPS\nAuthentication and access controls\nTCP/IP and networking\n\nFamiliarity with MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and IOC analysis.\nUnderstanding of SOC operations and incident response.\nKnowledge of common attacks such
