Our software engineering teams focus on best coding practices to ensure readability, reusability, and scalability of our systems' designs and developments.\nWe're looking for a Software/Robotics Engineer to join a project building a full robotics stack for an AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle), working directly on-site with our client in Munich. This isn't a purely remote software role, we're seeking for someone comfortable across the full spectrum of robotics development: simulation, navigation, localization, behaviors, and tooling, while also getting hands-on with the physical robot in the field.\nYou'll work closely with the client's fleet manager, and depending on how the project evolves.\nYour role and responsibilities:\nContribute to the development of a full robotics stack, covering simulation, navigation, localization, robot behaviors, and internal tooling\n\nPerform testing and tuning of complex navigation systems directly on the AGV, on-site\n\nWork together with the client's fleet manager on the robot's perception stack\n\nDiagnose and resolve hardware, networking, and embedded electronics issues on the robot in real time\n\nPotential to manage a team and its resources as the project scales\n\nParticipate in the design and implementation of solutions for challenging customer and R&D problems\n\nTravel for 1-2 week periods for on-site deployments when required\n\nPass on your passion for technology and professionalism to your peers\n\nBe receptive and empathetic with your team and technical communities\n\nIf you:\nAre located in or willing to work on-site in the Munich area, 3 days/week from the start\n\nHave strong experience (+4 years) with ROS or ROS2\n\nHave strong experience (+5 years) coding in modern C++ (17+) and Python 3\n\nHave working knowledge of networking and electronics (important for the field-facing side of this role)\n\nHave experience with Docker / containerized applications\n\nHold a degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or a related field\n\nHave hands-on experience working with real robots (not just simulation)\n\nCan independently tackle mid-sized software development tasks across the stack\n\nAre comfortable in technical discussions and can propose solutions\n\nHave solid technical English, spoken and written\n\nIt'd be a plus if you:\nHave experience with robotics simulation (Gazebo, NVIDIA Omniverse, or similar)\n\nHave system administration experience\n\nHave contributed to open source
