El Alfy Saraya is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage project documentation, engineering drawings, and corporate correspondence while effectively coordinating with our Technical Office and Project Management teams.
Key Responsibilities:Document Control & Archiving: Manage, store, and systematically archive all project documents, engineering drawings, contracts, and correspondence (hard copies and digital files).
Project & Technical Coordination: Liaise between Technical Office engineers, Project Managers, and site teams to facilitate smooth document flow and timely submissions.
Logs & Transmittals Management: Maintain updated Document Control Logs (Master Document Register / Transmittals) for Shop Drawings, RFIs, Material Submittals, and Inspection Requests.
Tracking & Follow-up: Track incoming and outgoing project documents and follow up on pending consultant approvals or missing document revisions.
Quality & Coding Compliance: Ensure all technical and project documentation meets company coding standards and formatting guidelines prior to distribution.
Requirements
Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience as a Document Controller, preferably in Contracting, Construction, Architecture, or Industrial Manufacturing.
Technical Office Awareness: Solid understanding of Technical Office & Project Management workflows (Shop Drawings, RFIs, Material Submittals, etc.).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel) and Document Management Systems (EDMS).
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, excellent organizational and follow-up abilities, and strong communication skills.
Language: Good command of English (written & spoken).
