This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on Workday integration development, architecture, automation, reliability, security, observability, and operational excellence.\nYour Responsibilities:\nWorkday Integration Engineering\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support robust integrations between Workday and enterprise applications.\nBuild and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, PECI, and WECI.\nDesign appropriate integration patterns based on business requirements, data volumes, security requirements, reliability, and maintainability.\nDevelop integrations between Workday and downstream/upstream platforms using middleware technologies such as Boomi and cloud services.\nPerform integration analysis, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.\nArchitecture & Engineering Excellence\nContribute to the evolution of the Workday integration architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, reusable, and maintainable.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify existing integrations and reduce technical debt.\nEstablish reusable integration patterns, engineering standards, and development best practices.\nParticipate in technical design reviews and contribute to architectural decisions across the HR technology ecosystem.\nApply strong software engineering principles including version control, peer review, automated testing, CI/CD, and structured release management.\nReliability, Monitoring & Automation\nBuild integrations with observability and operational resilience by design.\nImplement proactive monitoring, alerting, logging, reconciliation, and automated recovery mechanisms.\nDevelop solutions for intelligent error handling and, where appropriate, automated or self-healing recovery.\nTroubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.\nContinuously improve integration reliability, performance, supportability, and operational efficiency.\nSecurity & Data Integrity\nEnsure integrations comply with enterprise security, privacy, and data governance requirements.\nProtect sensitive employee and personal information throughout the integration lifecycle.\nImplement appropriate authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure data-transfer mechanisms.\nBuild appropriate controls for data validation, reconciliation, auditability, and integrity.\nProduct & DevOps Collaboration\nWork as part of an Agile Product Engineering team, partnering closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, HR stakeholders, and other engineering teams.\nOwn solutions throughout their lifecycle - from discovery and technical design through development, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.\nTranslate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while challenging requirements where simpler or more sustainable approaches are available.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, technical planning, and product roadmap discussions.\nCollaborate across global teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nWhat You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):\nBachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. \nStrong hands-on experience developing and supporting Workday integrations in a complex enterprise environment.\nStrong experience with Workday Studio and Workday integration technologies.\nExperience with integration patterns including PECI and WECI.\nExperience working with Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/XSLT, and enterprise integration patterns.\nExperience with an enterprise integration platform such as Boomi.\nStrong understanding of integration architecture, APIs, event-driven integration, and data transformation.\nWorkday Extend or broader Workday platform capabilities.\nExperience supporting Workday integrations in a large, global enterprise.\nWhat will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):\nExperience troubleshooting complex integration and production issues.\nStrong understanding of security, data privacy, and data integrity principles.\nExperience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to work effectively across product, engineering, business, and vendor teams.\nAdditional Skills/Preferences\nExperience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:\nCloud platforms such as GCP or Microsoft Azure.\nCI/CD and automated deployment practices.\nMonitoring, observability, and automated operational tooling.\nServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.\nPower BI or other reporting/analytics technologies.\nExperience modernizing legacy integrations and reducing integration technical debt.\nAdditional Information:\nTravel: 0%\n\nLocation: India, Bangalore\n\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
