Your Role:Technical Consultant

As a Technical Consultant, you will provide critical technical support to Elanco’s marketing and sales teams, the veterinary profession, and corporate clients. In this role, you will be responsible for resolving product inquiries, supporting clinical trials, and influencing key industry opinion leaders to advance animal health.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist technical knowledge and training to brand managers and sales teams while ensuring all activities comply with Elanco SOPs.

  • Investigate and resolve product-related inquiries and complaints in accordance with pharmacovigilance and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external research organizations to undertake clinical trials and support product development.

  • Extend Elanco’s influence by building relationships with key industry opinion leaders, the NZVA, and academic institutions.

  • Contribute technical expertise to marketing campaigns and oversee the final sign-off of technical marketing materials.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Degree in Veterinary Medicine registrable in New Zealand.

  • Experience: Previous clinical experience in both small and large animal veterinary practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal authorization to work in New Zealand.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Sound analytical skills for data interpretation and trial support.

  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills to engage with KOLs and industry bodies.

  • Well-developed communication skills for internal training and external stakeholder management.

  • Strong time management skills to balance field work and technical review duties.
