Based in the US, this position will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Revenue Accounting.\nAre you well-versed in revenue accounting? Do you want to be a key contributor in a fast-paced, rapidly growing technology company?\nIf so, we would love to hear from you! \n\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\nBeing a key contributor to the ownership of Elastic Cloud Revenue.\nPerforming or reviewing revenue reconciliations and analysis, and managing complex, large datasets in support of the Revenue close process.\nAssisting across all Elastic revenue contract reviews under ASC 606 guidance.\nDetermining appropriate revenue recognition for signed contracts.\nLeading and reviewing UAT testing to drive Cloud Revenue system and process improvements.\nCoordinating and managing auditing requests, including addressing auditor inquiries.\nDeveloping technical accounting positions and drafting memos.\nEvaluating revenue policies for scalability while maintaining consistency with ASC 606.\nIdentifying and executing on opportunities to improve existing processes and controls and minimize risk.\nDeveloping and delivering internal training to enhance organizational revenue knowledge sharing.\nSupporting cross-functional partners (Deal Desk, Order Ops, Billing/AR/Collections, FP&A, IT/Engineering).\nWhat You Bring:\nA detailed understanding of ASC 606, including SaaS-related principles.\nA general understanding of the Order-to-Cash process and the impact each step of the process can have on revenue.\nAn understanding of AI and the impact it can make on a daily basis.\nComfortability working independently in a distributed, dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrated ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities with composure in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nComposure in evolving in ambitious circumstances.\nThe ability to project manage and balance multiple priorities.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nA positive and proactive demeanor.\nA strong desire for learning, growth and development.\nExposure to consumption-based revenue accounting.\nBig 4 and/or publicly traded technology company experience (preferred).\nExperience with RevPro and NetSuite (preferred).\nCPA or progress towards CPA certification (preferred).\nExperience with Google Workspace and Gemini across Workspace (preferred).\nExperience with Cloud Revenue from Marketplaces (preferred).\nExperience with automated Business Intelligence (BI) reporting (preferred).\nCompensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. \nThe typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. \nThese ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. \nAn employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.\nElastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.
