If so this might just be your dream job.\nYour activities as a Senior Developer Advocate at Elastic would include:\nSpeaking publicly at in-person and virtual conferences, meetups and other events.\n\nAnswering questions from developers on Discuss (our forum), Slack and other forums.\n\nBuilding and sharing content, including social media posts, in-depth blog posts, example code, demos, tutorials and videos on elastic.co or our YouTube channel.\n\nContributing code on GitHub both to Elastic and external repositories.\n\nProviding feedback from the developer community to our engineering teams to improve Elastic products.\n\nFor this role, you will be ourSenior Developer Advocate based in NYC, New York. You will keep up-to-date on the latest in search and AI, understand and advocate the Elastic Stack use cases, and be embedded in the developer community.\nWhat You Bring\nDeep technical background and experience in an engineering role, such as software engineering.\n\nDemonstrated ability to create compelling content about technology - including speaking, writing, and demoing.\n\nEmpathy for the community to help them solve their issues, provide internal feedback to make Elastic’s products better, and fix problems where possible.\n\nComfortable working with a highly distributed team.\n\nA devoted individual with experience working as a contributor in self-organizing teams.\n\nExcellent spoken and written communication skills in English.\n\nCompensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. \nThe typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. \nThese ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. \nAn employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.\nElastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.
