Operating in close partnership with a geographically distributed group of designers, frontend developers, and full-stack engineers, this position centers on delivering outstandinguser interfaces, engineering scalable data integrations, streamlining content management workflows, and developing dependableweb services.You'll champion front and back end best practices while promoting a culture of craftsmanship and attention to detail across the team.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nCollaborate with and provide technical guidance to a remote team of frontend and full stack engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing\n\nDrive the technical vision for our frontend architecture using NextJS and TypeScript\n\nDrive the technical vision for backend services, data integration pipelines, and content management systems\n\nLead the design and implementation of APIs that power dynamic web experiences\n\nEstablish and maintain quality standards, testing processes, and code review practices\n\nChampion backend performance optimizations, monitoring, and observability practices\n\nEnsure security, scalability, and reliability across all backend web services\n\nLead the implementation of frontend performance optimizations and best practices\n\nEnsure accessibility and cross-browser compatibility across all web experiences\n\nContribute to technical planning, prioritize technical initiatives, and support project delivery\n\nCollaborate closely with other teams to deliver cohesive user experiences\n\nPartner with SRE and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless system integration\n\nFoster effective communication and collaboration practices in a distributed-first environment\n\nWhat You Bring\n8+ years of experience in front and backend web development, with a focus on modern JavaScript frameworks and scalable web applications and APIs\n\n3+ years of experience as a senior technical contributor or technical lead in collaborative environments\n\nDeep expertise in NextJS, React, and TypeScript\n\nDeep experience with content management systems, headless CMS architectures, and content delivery workflows\n\nStrongunderstandingof frontend testing methodologies and quality assurance processes\n\nExperience with frontend accessibility standards and implementation\n\nPractical experience managing cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code practices\n\nKnowledge of search technologies and experience with data indexing and retrieval systems\n\nKnowledge of web performance optimization techniques and metrics\n\nProven ability to bridge the gap between design and development teams\n\nExcellentremote communication skills and experience working with distributed teams\n\nBonus Points\nExperience with micro-frontend architectures\n\nExperience with Elasticsearch or other search/analytics platforms\n\nKnowledge of content delivery networks (CDNs) and edge computing\n\nExperience with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems\n\nKnowledge of marketing technology integrations (CRM, analytics, form processors)\n\nExperience with automated testing strategies for backend systems and data pipelines\n\nBackground in site reliability engineering or DevOps practices\n\nExperience with localization and internationalization for web applications\n\nCompensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. \nThe typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. \nThese ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
