The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility for the software artifacts produced, adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.\nThis role supports both iOS and Android mobile platforms. The ideal candidate has experience developing mobile platform capabilities, backend-integrated mobile solutions, SDKs, and services that enable secure, scalable, and reliable mobile experiences. While familiarity with iOS development is important, this position requires the flexibility to contribute across both platforms as business priorities evolve.\nEssential Responsibilities\nResponsible for designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining products\nTakes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code\nConsistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability, and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs\nPerforms analysis on failures, proposes design changes, and encourages operational improvements\nMakes sound design and coding decisions while keeping customer experience at the forefront\nTakes feedback from code reviews and applies changes to meet standards\nConducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures\nAccountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices\nExhibits relentless focus on software reliability engineering standards embedded into development practices\nReviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before escalation\n*This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship*\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience\nThree to five years of relevant experience\nPreferred Skills/Experience\nExperience building mobile platform services, SDKs, and backend-driven mobile applications across iOS and Android environments\nWorking knowledge of Swift and/or Objective-C (iOS) and experience with Java and/or Kotlin (Android)\nExperience developing features that integrate with backend systems, APIs, messaging frameworks, authentication services, and enterprise platforms\nExperience with RESTful APIs, service integration, and mobile-to-backend communication patterns\nExperience developing and consuming mobile SDKs, reusable libraries, platform components, and shared mobile frameworks\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across mobile applications, backend services, and distributed systems\nExperience supporting high-scale, production-grade applications and services\nUnderstanding of application performance, monitoring, observability, and stability across mobile and backend ecosystems\nExperience in C++ is a plus but not required\nKnowledge of Payments and/or FinTech industry is a plus but not required\nExperience working in Agile and DevOps environments with a focus on software quality, reliability, and continuous delivery\nLocation expectations\nThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.\nIf there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.\nBenefits:\nOur approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
