We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Italy and contribute to challenging data migration initiatives within a complex and international environment.\nIn this role, you will work on the execution and continuous improvement of large-scale data migration processes, with a strong focus on data quality, troubleshooting and transformation.\nYou will work closely with technical and functional teams, analyzing data migration results, identifying root causes of errors or inconsistencies, and implementing reliable solutions to ensure high-quality data throughout the migration lifecycle.\nYour responsibilities\nAs a Data Engineer, you will:\nExecute iterative data migration cycles, analyzing errors, rejections and reconciliation gaps across different data layers.\nIdentify the root causes of data issues and implement appropriate fixes in existing dbt and T-SQL transformation rules on Microsoft SQL Server.\nImplement and maintain automated data quality controls and reconciliation KPIs.\nDevelop mapping and transformation rules based on functional specifications, translating business requirements into versioned and tested transformation models.\nInvestigate and resolve data-related defects identified during testing and production support phases.\nContribute to the continuous improvement and industrialization of data migration processes through Git-based workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and technical documentation.\nCollaborate closely with business analysts, developers, product teams and other stakeholders in an international environment.\nYour profile\nWe are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with an analytical and structured approach to data.\nYou bring:\nStrong SQL expertise, including complex queries, set-based transformations and performance optimization.\nGood knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.\nHands-on experience in building and maintaining ELT/ETL data pipelines.\nExperience with dbt is highly appreciated. Experience with SSIS or comparable data integration technologies is also relevant.\nSolid understanding of data modelling, data quality and reconciliation principles.\nExperience with Git-based development workflows, code reviews and CI/CD practices.\nFamiliarity with Agile working environments and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.\nA strong analytical mindset, autonomy and attention to detail.\nThe ability to work confidently with complex and high-volume datasets.\nEnglish level B2 or above, enabling you to work effectively in an international team.\nNice to have\nThe following would be considered an advantage:\nKnowledge of French.\nExperience with Python or PowerShell for automation and data analysis.\nKnowledge of Liquibase or other database change-management tools.\nPrevious experience in data migration projects or other complex data-transformation environments.\nWhat we offer\nTemporary employment contract (1 year).\nGross annual salary (RAL) between
