Working closely with rural products teams, you’ll provide practical agronomic advice and support that helps growers make confident decisions related to crop inputs, soil health, and farm management.\nYou’ll operate both in the field and in-store - assisting clients with planning, product selection, and the adoption of new technologies, while also identifying opportunities to promote Elders’ wider range of products and services. This role is hands-on and relationship-focused, aimed at supporting grower success and delivering sustainable, profitable outcomes.\nResponsibilities\nAs an Elders Agronomist, you will:\nBuild and maintain strong, service-based relationships with broadacre cropping clients\nProvide tailored agronomic advice across chemical, fertiliser, seed and soil health\nConduct in-field assessments and deliver crop monitoring and planning services\nDevelop seasonal programs and input plans to support on-farm success\nIdentify opportunities to grow your client base and cross-sell Elders products and services\nStay informed on local agronomic trends, R&D, and emerging technologies\nAbout you\nTo succeed at Elders, you have:\nTertiary qualifications in agricultural science, agronomy or a related field\nPractical experience in broadacre agronomy, agricultural product sales, or crop consulting\nStrong technical knowledge of cropping systems and sustainable input planning\nSound use of digital farm management systems for planning and recording recommendations\nCurrent driver’s licence and the ability to work independently in the field\nPassion for Australian agriculture and a proactive approach to building client relationships\nAbout Elders\nAs a trusted Australian agribusiness, we have played an important role in the agricultural sector for over 185 years.
