We are expanding our capability and are seeking Experienced and Senior Substation Engineers to support the delivery and ongoing performance of South Australia’s high-voltage transmission network.\nBased full time in Adelaide, South Australia, the role presents the opportunity to contribute across the full lifecycle of critical substation assets, from early concepts and detailed design through to installation, operation, maintenance and eventual disposal. You will work across multiple capital projects, solve complex engineering challenges and help ensure our substations continue to deliver safe, reliable and resilient performance.\nAt the Experienced Substation Engineers level, you will independently deliver specialist engineering work, prepare key technical deliverables and collaborate across projects, asset management and external delivery partners, while at the Senior Substation Engineer level, you will take on greater technical leadership, peer review and influencing responsibilities. You bring strong technical judgement, a genuine commitment to safety and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering disciplines, project teams, contractors and stakeholders.\nTo be successful, you will ideally have:\nAt least 8 to 10 years' experience with whole of life function and operation of high voltage electricity transmission networks including substation primary systems and associated infrastructure.\nTertiary qualification of a bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline\nExperience in substation primary design, high-voltage plant, infrastructure installation, commissioning or testing\nKnowledge of substation layouts, configurations, earthing, insulation coordination, auxiliaries and associated primary engineering concepts\nExperience preparing or reviewing primary and infrastructure design and construction specifications\nAn understanding of asset lifecycle management principles\nAn understanding of civil and structural design within a substation environment\nKnowledge of related disciplines such as secondary systems, protection, SCADA, telecommunications and transmission lines\nFamiliarity with relevant Australian and IEC standards and electricity industry requirements\nStrong analytical, investigation and problem-solving capability coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills\nA collaborative approach and the ability to build productive internal and external relationships\nEligibility for membership of Engineers Australia\nChartered status with Engineers Australia, electricity industry experience, White Card training and a TAAM licence will be viewed favourably.\nHow To Apply\nSelect \"Apply\" and submit your application, clearly indicating whether you are interested in an Experienced Substation Engineer or Senior Substation Engineer opportunity.
