Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs, policies, procedures, and standards across facility and project operations

  • Work directly with project site EHS teams to ensure alignment and continuity with corporate EHS procedures and requirements

  • Serve as the process owner and Subject Matter Expert for the corporate Permit-to-Work program covering highly hazardous activities at project sites, operating plants, and test stands

  • Partner with manufacturing, facilities, engineering, construction, commissioning, and other operational teams to integrate EHS requirements into day-to-day activities and project execution

  • Provide EHS support for manufacturing operations, equipment installation, contractor work, construction activities, startup, commissioning, and other field execution activities

  • Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, field observations, and routine inspections to identify hazards and drive timely corrective actions

  • Support regulatory compliance efforts, including interpretation and application of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local requirements

  • Support incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action follow-up

  • Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and site personnel

  • Participate in contractor safety management activities, including pre-job planning, oversight of high-risk work, and verification of compliance with company requirements

  • Support emergency preparedness and response planning, drills, and related readiness activities

  • Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics, trends, and action items to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement

  • Support the management of permits, safe work practices, and operational controls associated with routine and non-routine work

  • Build strong working relationships across functions to promote accountability, employee engagement, and a culture of safety and environmental stewardship

  • Travel to company locations, project sites, and field activities as required, with travel expected to range from 50-75%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related technical field

  • 7+ years of relevant EHS experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial, field, project, or similar operational environments

  • Working knowledge of applicable EHS regulations and management practices, including OSHA and other relevant regulatory requirements

  • Hands-on experience administering and/or managing Lockout/Tagout programs, with the ability to understand and work through complex energy isolation procedures

  • Experience supporting risk assessments, incident investigations, inspections, corrective actions, and EHS program implementation

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across a variety of teams and operational environments

  • Ability to influence safe behaviors and drive practical solutions in both structured and fast-paced environments
