This role will work across the full embedded development lifecycle, from board bring-up and driver development through control algorithm implementation and system communications.\nThis position will work closely with electrical, power electronics, controls, and systems engineering teams to develop reliable embedded solutions for Electric Hydrogen’s products.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDevelop and debug low-level, real-time, low-latency firmware in C\nPerform board bring-up, debugging, testing, and code optimization\nDevelop and maintain device drivers and hardware interfaces\nImplement control algorithms for power electronics products and auxiliary electronics\nDesign and implement protocols for system communications\nTroubleshoot firmware and hardware interactions using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other laboratory equipment\nWrite and maintain software specifications, design documentation, and technical documentation\nCollaborate with electrical, power electronics, controls, and systems engineers throughout product development and testing\nQualifications\nBS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience\nFor mid-level candidates, 3+ years of professional firmware or embedded software development experience; strong academic, project, or internship experience in embedded systems will be considered for junior-level candidates\nExperience developing low-level embedded firmware in C\nExperience with embedded systems development tools, including compilers, debuggers, and IDEs\nExperience with version control and issue-tracking tools such as Git and Jira\nExperience with communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, and Ethernet\nExperience developing device drivers using hardware interfaces such as ADC, GPIO, PWM, UART, SPI, and I2C\nHands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and similar laboratory equipment\nKnowledge of automated build systems is a plus\nKnowledge of the design and implementation of power electronics control loops is a plus\nBasic knowledge of Linux environments is a plus, particularly for development toolchains, GUIs, build systems, logging, and testing tools\nCompensation and Benefits | P3\nSan Jose Zone\n$154,000—$181,000 USD\nActual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.\nBase salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
