Your work will directly support plant operators, scientists, executives, and field service teams by providing the tools and data needed to optimize performance, accelerate product development, and improve operational efficiency.\nThis is a hybrid position based in San Jose, CA, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable software solutions that support Electric Hydrogen's digital platform\nOwn projects from prioritization and requirements gathering through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance\nDevelop and enhance industrial telemetry pipelines that ingest plant data from Ignition SCADA systems into cloud-based platforms\nBuild and maintain a centralized data lake that consolidates information from multiple data sources for analysis and reporting\nDevelop and support Python- and SQL-based data analysis tools used by engineering, operations, and business stakeholders\nDesign, develop, and maintain customer-facing and internal full-stack web applications using modern web technologies\nDevelop software integrations that improve manufacturing systems and operational workflows\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring and alerting systems\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, field service, and leadership to deliver high-impact software solutions\nParticipate in architectural discussions and help define the technical direction for new systems and features\nParticipate in an on-call incident response rotation\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience\nSignificant professional software development experience building web applications, data platforms, or data pipelines\nStrong proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, React, and TypeScript\nStrong Python programming skills with experience using data analysis libraries such as Pandas, PySpark, or similar frameworks\nExperience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs\nExperience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server\nExperience with AWS cloud services and an understanding of cloud architecture design tradeoffs\nDemonstrated ability to contribute to software architecture and technical decision-making\nExperience with industrial telemetry, IoT, SCADA systems, or industrial automation is preferred\nExperience developing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring solutions\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders\nWillingness to participate in an on-call support rotation\n#LI-Hybrid\nCompensation and Benefits | P4 \nSan Jose Zone\n$182,000—$226,000 USD\nActual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.\nBase salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
