Studies may include near-term and long-term transmission planning, generator interconnection studies, reliability-driven transmission project alternatives development, and NERC standards compliance analyses.\nResponsibilities\nHow you can make an impact:\nPerform power system impact studies: Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability.\nPerform NERC-compliance-related technical analyses such as TPL Annual Planning Assessments.\nPerform full generator interconnection studies which may also include Sub-Synchronous Resonance (SSR) studies.\nEnsure that renewable and/or storage resource projects interconnecting to the transmission system meet Voltage Ride-Through (VRT) requirements.\nPrepare technical study reports for all studies performed. Process, generate, and maintain data as required for all studies.\nTake responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.\nIdentify training needs and present to the Engineering Manager as needed.\nQualifications\nBring your passion, here what’s needed:\nBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, emphasis in Power Systems preferred.\n2+ years of experience as a power systems engineer\nExperience performing power system impact studies such as Dynamic Stability, Steady State, and Short Circuit.\nExperience with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.\nAbility to provide on the job training or help oversee the work of other Power Systems Engineers and Interns.\nExperience automating/programming in Python preferred.\nExperience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation\n\nProven team player with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.\nStrong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters.\nCapable of managing multiple tasks.\nFlexible with the ability to manage change.\nHave high standards in producing quality reports and products that he/she shall own with pride.\nStrong technical report writing skills. \nLead the Change!\nBe a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.
