Throughout your internship, you will develop skills to advance professionally and academically.\nHow you can make an impact:\nThe Power Systems Engineer Intern will perform projects/tasks such as network-wide steady-state and short-circuit studies as well as contribute to process improvement efforts, including development of Python scripts. This position will report to an experienced Manager and be exposed to exciting projects building valuable industry knowledge. This internship will focus on Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) modeling.\nQualifications\nBring your passion, here's what’s needed:\nCurrent enrollment in, a PhD degree program with a major in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.\nCompletion of, or current enrollment in, power systems fundamentals class(es) (strongly preferred)\nExperience with Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) modeling, PSCAD, AI/Machine Learning modeling (strongly preferred)\nAI data center modeling (preferred)\nMinimum GPA of 3.0 or higher\nLocation: Spring: Remote - U.S. Summer: In-Person - Austin, Texas\nTravel: None\n\nEPE is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
