In this role you will work closely with leadership to provide subject matter expertise both internally through coaching and developing staff as well as externally to our clients.\nResponsibilities\nHow you can make an impact:\nPerform complex interconnection studies including loadflow, short circuit and transient stability across multiple ISOs and Utilities in the Eastern Interconnect & ERCOT. Ideally focusing on SERC, ERCOT MISO or SPP\nDevelop IBR and large load models required for interconnection applications, validate their performance against ISO/Utility requirements and benchmark their response across various software platforms (e.g. PSSE/PSCAD/TSAT).\nReview ISO and/or Utility interconnection study results, replicate findings and identify errors or alternative mitigations that could impact assigned network upgrades. \nSupport generation, large load and merchant transmission developers navigate interconnection processes across the Eastern Interconnect. \nCollaborate with other team members on interconnection related studies and stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes. \nPassionate about solving difficult technical problems, providing innovative solutions and taking ownership of the solutions provided.\nSupport the development of new products and services. \nCarry out additional duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nBring your passion, here's what’s needed:\nQualifications\nMinimum 4 years of experience in the electric energy industry. \nExperience in IBR modelling, transmission planning and/or interconnection studies and processes.\nStrong understanding of FERC, NERC and ISO interconnection requirements and standards. \nIn-depth knowledge of at least one but preferably several of the following software packages: PSSE, TARA, PSLF, PowerWorld. ASPEN and PSCAD. \nBeneficial Experience\nDirect experience working at an ISO/Utility or on behalf of these entities as a consultant. \nExperience with large-load interconnection studies and modelling. \nAutomation experience (Python, C#, SQL).\nLead the change!\nBe a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.
