But to keep doing so, we need more people who want to innovate and re-imagine what life at home can be.\nThe Electronics and Digital (E&D) Development branch of the CX R&D Food Preparation organization is comprised of 4 main competence centers: System Program Office & Digital Experience, Hardware (Electrical & Electronics), and Software. E&DX provides the relevant R&D capabilities to all four business areas - Asia Pacific & Middle East, Latin America, North America and Europe - to deploy innovative consumer experiences thru global reuse and new development of functional systems that support the GenPlans and TCEs defined in the BAs and at Global Product Line level. The efforts of this group is to ultimately increase speed to market, innovation and utilization of best design practices to optimize Electrolux build quality and technical prowess worldwide\nThe Functional Systems Engineer considers the needs of the product functionality from broad high-level requirements and can break down the functions into necessary design modules that constitute the functional electrical and electronic system. This role work closely with the teams responsible for product requirements in order to scope new projects, translate customer needs into product specifications and technical requirements, and provide technical guidance regarding new technologies, feature implementations, risks, cost assessments, etc.\nKEY RESPONSABILITIES:\nIncludes the following deliverables, but not limited to.\nCreating functional systems specifications from customer use cases and product requirements as developed by Product Line, Marketing, Design, Usability, etc.\nScoping new projects, including requirement collection, requirement analysis, alignment with system architecture direction, and technical risk.\nProviding technical guidance relative to features and new technologies as part of early project assessment and design selection.\nWorking closely with electronics design engineers to support interpretation of technical specifications and for collaborative feedback so to ensure the needs of all customers are met.\nWorking with cross process partners to define required interfaces with controls.\nConsidering the mechanical integration of the electrical and electronic modules into the product and works with process partners to ensure environmental design needs and manufacturing practices are satisfactory.\nInterfacing with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Service, and outside suppliers for collection of requirements and to provide direct support on technical designs.\nSupporting cooking science and agency labs in development of cooking algorithm needs for the electronics controls and for creation of necessary lab development applications.\nDeveloping system verification test plans based directly on technical specifications.\nParticipating in Technical Design Previews in order to report on assigned project deliverables.\nAssisting design teams with DFMEA development as systems-level subject matter expert.\nProviding timely communication as to project status and deliverables.\nCreating new intellectual property.\nWorking autonomously in projects and assigned tasks.\nPerforming any and all functions as outlined by Engineering Management; lead or participate in special function teams and support production as required.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications):\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.\nMinimum of three years of demonstrated experience in product design, embedded control development, or related engineering career field.\nUnderstanding of overall engineering, manufacturing, and assembly principles.\nAppliance product design related experience is preferred.\nAbility to interpret schematics and understanding of embedded software design and architecture.\nExperience with agency and normative requirements preferred.\nConsidered as a plus:\no Tools knowledge: Jama, Jira\no Incose Certification program\no MIT xPRO Systems Engineering -
