You will translate our global Design Identity into consistent, on brand visual systems, including icons, components, and interaction patterns. Beyond execution, you will act as the team’s eyes and ears in the market, providing timely insights and forward looking perspectives to inform global design strategy.\nYou will own projects from concept to implementation, balancing independent craft with close collaboration across design, hardware, and software teams.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDesign Execution & Brand Alignment\nCreate intuitive, aesthetically coherent UI designs and iconography that reflect and evolve the Electrolux Design Identity.\nTranslate high level design direction into detailed interaction flows, prototypes, and production ready assets.\nEnsure consistency across touchpoints by maintaining and contributing to our global design system.\nCollaborate with UX researchers, visual designers, and developers to deliver polished, user validated experiences.\nMarket Insight & Strategic Input\nContinuously monitor interaction design trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings in the appliance and digital product space.\nSynthesize market and user insights into clear, actionable recommendations for the global design team.\nPresent thought out perspectives on how new interaction paradigms could enhance our product experiences and brand perception.\nHelp the team stay ahead by sharing relevant research, case studies, and inspiration.\nProject Leadership & Facilitation\nLead interaction design for projects, managing your own timeline and deliverables within broader product milestones.\nFacilitate workshops and design reviews, encouraging open critique and collaborative problem solving.\nGuide and mentor junior designers, fostering skill development and design thinking maturity within the team.\nCommunicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders across disciplines, adapting your style to suit technical, creative, and business audiences.\nCross functional Collaboration\nPartner closely with industrial designers, CMF designers, and engineers to ensure seamless integration of digital and physical experiences.\nWork with software development teams to ensure feasible implementation and pixel perfect final execution.\nBuild strong relationships with product owners, and other stakeholders to align on goals and outcomes.\n\nWho you are:\nExperience & Skills\n5+ years of professional interaction design experience, with a portfolio showcasing shipped products in consumer electronics, appliances, or related fields.\nExpertise in UI design, icon design, prototyping, and design system development.\nHigh proficiency in relevant programs and tools\nSolid understanding of user centered design methodologies and responsive/adaptive design principles.\nExperience working with hardware integrated interfaces or IoT products is a strong plus.\nAwards, patents, or published work in interaction design are valued.\nStrategic & Analytical Abilities\nDemonstrated ability to translate brand strategy into tangible interface design solutions.\nStrong market sensitivity and the ability to distill trends into strategic design insights.\nComfortable contributing to design strategy discussions and road mapping at the project or product line level.\nCommunication & Collaboration\nExcellent communication skills in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).\nAble to present design concepts persuasively and document decisions clearly.\nExperienced in building relationships across teams and influencing without direct authority.\nA facilitative mindset-you listen actively, give and receive feedback constructively, and help teams move forward together.\nWhere you’ll be:\nYou will be based at the Shanghai Lab office\nBenefits highlights:\nFlexible work hours/hybrid work environment; \nDiscounts on our award-winning Electrolux products and services; \nFamily-friendly benefits; \nHealth and Well-being initiatives \nExtensive learning opportunities and flexible career path. \nContinued Progress on Diversity & Inclusion \nLiving our Sustainability Commitment \nAs part of the Electrolux Group, we will continuously invest in you and your development.
