The perfect candidate is a passionate developer who has worked with multi-regional backends and multiple platform installations acrossdifferentdatacenters.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nA high degree of autonomy in developing new services.\n\nFreedom to design and shape service architecture.\n\nBeing part of a dedicated team that values collaboration and strong engineering practices.\n\nDevelopment of new capabilities on a modern, well-maintained platform with careful management of technical debt.\n\nExcellent benefits for future parental leave.\n\nA generous vacation allowance of 40 days per year.\n\nA flexible working environment with a well-situated office in central Stockholm\n\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain robust and scalable backend services primarily using Kotlin and Ktor.\n\nEngage in architectural discussions and contribute to the design of a multi-regional backend.\n\nMaintain and manage SQL and NoSQL databases.\n\nIntegrate with search clusters such as OpenSearch.\n\nWork on our payment & product platform and ensure fault tolerance.\n\nManage deployments with tools like Github, Gradle & CircleCI.\n\nMonitor built services directly in cluster and through services such as Sentry and Datadog.\n\nMentor junior engineers, guiding them on best practices.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n7+ years of professional backend engineering experience.\n\n3+ years of developing in Kotlin, with extensive understanding of modern and asynchronous backend frameworks.\n\nWorked with Kafka or a similar event streaming platform\n\nFluent in git, CI/CD and build automation.\n\nKnowledge of how to deploy, ingress, monitor and manage backend services in a Kubernetes cluster.\n\nExcellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working withKtorin a large-scale production environment is a major qualifier.\n\nHands-on experience and understanding ofpayment platformsis advantageous.\n\nFamiliarity withAWSandinfrastructure-as-codetools such asTerraform/Terragrunt.\n\nWhere you'll be:\nThis is a full-time position, based in Bangalore, India\nAs part of Electrolux, we will continuously invest in you and your development.
