All about the role:
As part of the Learning Center of Excellence (LCOE), the Operations Trainer plays a critical role in preparing new and existing employees to perform their work safely, efficiently, and with high quality. You will deliver engaging training through classroom instruction, simulations, and hands-on learning, ensuring employees gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed on the production floor.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering key training programs that support onboarding, safety, and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding classes.
- Operate and maintain the Training Center to simulate real production processes and provide hands-on practice.
- Deliver required Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S) training in alignment with OSHA regulations and ISO standards.
- Deliver quality training such as Standard work (JDS), defect detection, QCP, etc.
- Train and certify new and current employees in Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV), Cranes, and Aerial Lift for licensing.
- Maintain accurate training records for all courses and certifications.
- Follow up with new employees during their first 30 days to ensure successful transition to their roles.
Who you are:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of work experience
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.
- Excellent communication skills and strong comfort speaking in front of groups.
- Basic knowledge of EMS tools, and continuous improvement concepts required.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring others, whether inside or outside the workplace.
