You will collaborate with experienced engineers across Frostbite and game teams while growing your expertise in large-scale engine and content pipeline systems.\nExamples of areas you may work on include:\nSystems that provide on-disc data to Frostbite editors\n\nPipelines that transform source assets into game-ready data\n\nCaching systems for built content\n\nServices supporting on-demand loading\n\nThis is a hybrid remote/in-office role in Vancouver or Stockholm, and you will report to a Development Director.\nResponsibilities:\nCommunicate with game and other Frostbite teams to understand their needs\n\nSupport game teams using our technologies\n\nTake ownership of core functionalities\n\nContribute to technical discussions and help improve systems over time\n\nCollaborate on system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance\n\nAcquire and share domain expertise\n\nQualifications:\n5+ years of experience with C++ programming, data-oriented design, and software architecture\n\nExperienced in building high-performing concurrent software\n\nComfortable working within an established codebase\n\nExperience with Agile development practices\n\nExperience of data processing and data management\n\nExperience implementing databases or file systems\n\nExperience with web services running locally and in Azure\n\nPay Transparency - North America\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS\nThe ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).\nPAY RANGES\n* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$122,300 - $170,700 CAD\nPay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.\nFor Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
