The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of US federal and state income tax, exceptional analytical skills, a keen attention to details, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. This role involves leading the local tax team across various areas, including tax compliance, tax provision, international tax, transfer pricing and indirect tax. Interest and experience in process automation and transformation is a plus.\nKey Responsibilities\nUS/Intl’ Compliance\nLead, train, and mentor Hyderabad based tax team, providing technical income tax training as well as professional and career development support. \nOversee and review US federal and State tax return workpapers, tax returns, tax provision workpapers (including FIN48), US/international inputs such as GILTI, FDII, and FTC and quarterly estimated federal and state tax calculations as well payment processing.\nPrepare complex tax analyses and workpapers, and take ownership of ad hoc tax research/projects. \nEnsure timely and accurate completion of all US and State compliance deliverables, including quarterly and annual filings.\nMonitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting US tax compliance and communicate updates to the team.\nSupport US tax audits and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.\nOther Responsibilities\nSupervise staff in other tax areas, including transfer pricing and indirect tax, to ensure local team is properly supported for career development. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, business partners) to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.\nIdentify transformation and automation opportunities while supervising tax processes and partnering with various stakeholders\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA/CPA or equivalent preferred.\nAt least 7 years of progressive experience in US tax compliance, with 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.\nDeep expertise in US federal and state tax compliance, including training, preparation, and review of deliverables.\nStrong technical knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting (ASC 740, FIN48).\nExcellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities.\nFamiliarity with tax automation technologies including Alteryx, Power BI, and Oracle to improve process efficiency\nWhy Join Us?\nLead a high-impact tax team supporting a global organization.\nFocus on technical excellence and leadership in US compliance.\nCollaborate with senior tax leaders and develop your career in a growth-focused environment.\n\nAbout Electronic Arts\nWe’re proud to have an extensive portfolio of games and experiences, locations around the world, and opportunities across EA.
