With fantastic links by train, tram, commuter routes, as well as having designated parking, we are well connected for colleagues across the central belt of Scotland.\nResponsibilities\nMonth-end management accounts analysis and support\nReview and posting of accruals and prepayments, payroll and sales adjustments\nProcessing high volume of journals\nGeneral ledger and balance sheet reconciliations\nIntercompany transaction processing and reconciliation\nAssistance with the quarterly VAT process and ongoing VAT compliance\nAssistance with the financial maintenance of the group’s electric car scheme\nSupport and improvement of the month-end process and analysis for local finance and lab teams\nSupport of internal and external audit processes for the group\nSupport in the corporation tax and payroll compliance work across the business unit entities\nDocumenting and developing the general business unit control environment\nProviding support to local finance managers and other GBS teams, including AR, AP, Treasury, Tax and Payroll\nAd hoc duties as and when required to support finance applications and initiatives\nSupport in move of the final Consumer & Industrials entities onto D365\nSupport in the compliance and closure of legacy businesses\nSkills / Qualifications\nDegree and accountancy qualification desirable, but PQ/qualified by experience considered\nSignificant experience gained in a similar role\nStrong systems and accounting experience preferred - Navision and D365 experience desirable\nEffective communicator and comfortable working within both a local and wider team\nSelf-starter, works own initiative and proactive\nAttention to detail, especially regarding GL transactions\nPositive, can-do attitude\nCompany Overview\nElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
