Element is seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Huntsville laboratory team.\nThis role offers the opportunity to build a specialized skillset in calibration, testing, and quality systems while working in a clean, laboratory-based environment.\nWhether you're an experienced technician or someone with strong technical aptitude looking to learn a new trade, we provide the training and support needed for long-term success. According to the hiring manager, character, reliability, basic computer proficiency, and willingness to learn are often more important than extensive industry experience.\nCompensation: $20.00-$25.00 per hour\nResponsibilities\nAs a Calibration Technician, you'll perform inspections, calibrations, troubleshooting, and maintenance on equipment used to measure:\nTemperature\nPressure\nForce and weight\nElectrical properties\nMechanical properties\nVibration and dynamic performance\nAdditional responsibilities include:\nPerform simple and complex equipment calibrations\nVerify calibration certifications and documentation\nMaintain and troubleshoot test and measurement equipment\nSupport corrective actions for out-of-tolerance conditions\nUtilize calibration software and diagnostic tools\nAssist laboratory personnel with calibration-related inquiries\nTrack results and maintain accurate records\nFollow established quality and calibration standards\nSupport continuous improvement and quality initiatives\nPerform additional duties as assigned by the Calibration Supervisor\n\nSkills / Qualifications\nHigh school diploma, technical school certificate, or equivalent experience\nStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications\nBasic math skills and attention to detail\nAbility to follow technical procedures and documentation\nStrong communication and organizational skills\nPreferred:\nAssociate degree in a science, engineering, or technical discipline\n1-3 years of calibration, testing, maintenance, or laboratory experience\nExperience interpreting calibration procedures and requirements\nTest equipment maintenance experience\nFamiliarity with statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and measurement uncertainty\nKnowledge of quality systems and industry standards such as:ISO/IEC 17025\nISO 9001\nAS9100\nNIST\nANSI/NCSL Z540-1\n\nCompany Overview\nElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
