The laboratory provides extensive expertise in mechanical testing, fatigue testing, metallurgical evaluations, chemical analysis, corrosion testing, and advanced failure analysis.\nIf you are not currently authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, Element Materials Technology will not consider your job application. Any candidate must be lawfully eligible to work in the US as a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.\nResponsibilities\nPrimary responsible for preparing and analyze metal samples utilizing: OES (Optical Emission Spectroscopy), Leco C/S/N/O/H (Combustion), and ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy)\nAlso conduct technical cleanliness testing, density and coating weight testing\nMaintain related test equipment, tools and machinery in good working condition\nSummarizes test results using basic mathematical calculations and data reductions\nTesting is conducted on many alloys including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium and copper\nSkills / Qualifications\n BS or AS in Chemistry is required\n1-2 years in the TIC sector is preferred, but not required\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, standard operating procedures, and national and international testing specifications\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization\nAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry\nProficiency in Microsoft Applications\nAbility to remain calm when faced with pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities.\nWell-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs\nCompany Overview\nElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
